๐Ÿ›ข๏ธ Oil's got trust issues...

And Toupee Fiasco (Trump) just poured gas on the fire.

โ€‹
The U.S. and Israel have been at war with Iran since February 28.

โ€‹
The Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway that used to carry 20% of the worldโ€™s oil and gas, has been shut since the war started.

โ€‹
No ships. No flow. No chill.

โ€‹
Earlier Wednesday, Toupee Fiasco posted on Truth Social saying Iran had asked for a ceasefire.

โ€‹
Oil dipped below $100.

โ€‹
Then Iran denied it. Said it never happened.

โ€‹
Then that evening, Toupee Fiasco went on national TV and said the U.S. would hit Iran โ€œextremely hardโ€ in the next two to three weeks.

โ€‹
Oil came all the way back.

โ€‹
U.S. crude climbed 4.1% to $104.21 a barrel while Brent crude rose 5% to $106.42.

โ€‹
The two sides have been contradicting each other on peace talks since day one, and every headline is moving the market.

โ€‹
Toupee Fiasco says the war wonโ€™t last long. Iran says the Strait stays closed until the U.S. backs off.

โ€‹
Traders are getting whiplash.

โ€‹
๐Ÿฅก
The Takeaway: Every ceasefire rumor drops oil. Every escalation post sends it back up. Energy names like XLE, XOM, CVX, and USO are in play on every headline until Hormuz reopens.

๐Ÿ‘Ÿ Wall Street's patience ran out...

And NKE is paying for it.

โ€‹
Nike (โ€‹NKEโ€‹) dropped 14% in a day after its fiscal third quarter earnings landed with a thud.

CFO Matt Friend told analysts sales would fall between 2% and 4% this quarter, with China sales expected to decline 20%.

โ€‹
The China number?

โ€‹
Wall Street was expecting weakness. Getting hit with 20% had them reaching for the downgrade button before the call even ended.

โ€‹
Goldman Sachs (
GS), JPMorgan (JPM), and Bank of America (BAC) all downgraded NKE the same morning. Three of the biggest banks on Wall Street. Same day. Same message. Weโ€™re done.

โ€‹
Nikeโ€™s gross margin has declined for seven straight quarters.

โ€‹
Recovery isnโ€™t expected until at least Q2 of fiscal 2027, and CEO Elliott Hill admitted the turnaround is โ€œtaking longer than heโ€™d like.โ€

โ€‹
Heโ€™s asked for patience twice now.

โ€‹
The Street said no.

โ€‹
๐Ÿฅก
The Takeaway: NKE is down 14% but the story isnโ€™t over. Management plans to lay out the long-term path forward at its investor day this fall. Watch for that and these NKE trends that tend to hit before then.

โ€‹

๐Ÿš— Tesla's quarter hit different...

And not in the way Wall Street was hoping for.

โ€‹
Tesla (โ€‹TSLAโ€‹) released its Q1 2026 delivery report and the numbers didnโ€™t land.

โ€‹
The company shipped 358,023 vehicles in the first quarter. Wall Street was waiting for 370,000. Thatโ€™s a miss of about 12,000 cars, and the stock fell more than 4% the same day.

Hereโ€™s the full pictureโ€ฆ

โ€‹
The Model 3 and Model Y carried 341,893 of those deliveries. Thatโ€™s 97% of everything Tesla moved this quarter. The other 3%? A category that no longer exists.

โ€‹
The Model S and X are done.

โ€‹
Tesla ended production on both vehicles. Elon Musk posted on his own social network X that orders โ€œhave come to an end,โ€ adding โ€œI love those cars.โ€ The Fremont factory lines where they were built will now assemble Optimus robots.

โ€‹
So the man phased out his car lineup and replaced it with robots. Weโ€™re in a simulation.

โ€‹
Musk has been steering the company toward self-driving taxis (Cybercab) and humanoid robots, but neither is generating revenue yet. Auto sales are still what keeps the lights on.

โ€‹
The stock is down 15% for the quarter.

โ€‹
The next date to watch: April 22. Thatโ€™s Teslaโ€™s Q1 earnings call.

โ€‹
๐Ÿฅก
The Takeaway: The delivery miss is already in the stock. Watch April 22 earnings for what Musk says about the Cybercab and Optimus timeline. Thatโ€™s what traders are waiting on.

๐Ÿ’ซ TMYK - Answer

The gap between the bid price and ask price is the ______.

c.) bid-ask spread
โ€‹

A tight spread usually means easier trading. A wide spread can mean you โ€œpay upโ€ to get in or out.
